Recently I started to look at what business burnout really is. In my full time position I had been feeling like I didn’t want to do the work anymore and I didn’t know why. Well, meeting overload and too much zoom is causing many people to feel like they need something different. So, I’ve said STOP the meetings.

But… hold the social meetings.

Make sure you have a healthy, active social life—even if you have to structure or schedule it. Join that weekly book club. Arrange to meet your BFF for coffee every Friday at 10 a.m. Volunteer one night a week at your PTA or a cause that’s dear to your heart—and be prepared to say “No” when they want more time!

Talk to people about something other than work.
